Jakeline Magaña2024-08-27Alicia worked with us to help our 5 year old receive the individualized IEP he was meant to have at school and made everything happen within one week of reaching out to her. Our son is high functioning ASD and had been placed in the wrong program in school due to a misunderstanding. The school mentioned they would try to get everything situated but wanted me to leave him to start the program until they could schedule an ARD meeting. Unfortunately I wasn't going to leave my son in school to attend a wrong program while they figured it out... The next day I reached out to Alicia and on that same day she reached out to the school and placed in the right classroom while his program was being sort out. A week later we attended the ARD meeting and we received everything in the program that he was supposed to have! We are very grateful for Alicia , without her I wouldn't of known how to navigate this situation. Not only was she in constant communication at all times, she is a very kind and understanding person. She always took her time listening to our needs. ❤️ I highly recommend her!Marcus Abdo2024-08-26Alicia helped get my child the services he needs. She has been working with our family for over a year and I only have wonderful things to say. She is detailed, reliable, responsible, organized and everything you could possibly want as an advocate. In addition, she is a warm and kind person who really just wants to help families anyway she can. She has years of experience working with autistic children and even more experience working within the school system. I would recommend anyone to her who is looking for support navigating this extremely complex process or just some advice on ways to work with autistic children. If you are on the fence, just give her a call and have a conversation with her. I promise you won’t be sorry you did!Patricia Perez2024-05-17It was a pleasure working with Alicia a few years ago. She demonstrated a strong self motivation to work towards the success of each student meeting their individualized needs. She was empathetic and firm while encouraging them. She was also a great teammate treating me with the utmost respect snd gratitude.
“Mrs. Tucker’s knowledge of the special education laws as well as knowing how to educate a child with special needs, made going into the ARD very easy. She was able to advocate for what was best and what was needed for my daughter. I definitely recommend having her there to represent your child, it can get very confusing to someone who doesn’t know or understand the terms used, and before I hired her I just felt completely lost and ultimately just agreed with what they said was best. AFTER I hired her we left the ARD meeting with new and improved plans in place that will set my daughter up for success. I couldn’t be happier”!
“Getting help from Mrs. Tucker assisted in reducing the stress and feeling overwhelmed in the ARD meeting. With her help my child made more progress, improved his skills and confidence, and felt happier going to school. We love Mrs. Tucker”!
“Mrs. Tucker always explained the testing, the IEP’s, the services, and accommodations in a way that I understood. She pointed out things that would help my child that I had not even considered. She always made herself available to answer any question I had and was always able to provide a wealth of information”.
